Five B’s that will make your business buzz!

Spring is in full swing. Things are emerging out of the ground, growing, blooming and preparing to bear fruit. Have you ever wondered how even little children can go outside every day and discover so much about how life functions? The outdoors appears to be a classroom textbook of endless topics and pages where each day allows the adventurous young soul to explore and learn something new. God created the outdoors and everything in it to declare the glory of God, and those who study what they observe outside discover good things.

There is an opportunity for us as stewards of the earth to go outside and learn about the desires of God’s heart. The psalmist wrote, “Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him! For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! [Psalm 33:8-12]

Have you taken time to stand in awe of him and the things which he has created? Have you ever felt frustrated in the plans you have made as if the things which you have put into practice have come to nothing?

Be encouraged today, for there is a blessing for those who have repented and believed that God is the Lord – for those who have realized that the Lord has chosen you to be part of his heritage – and have gone outside with the intention to observe and then serve. It is our joy to go and discover from the things which he has created the wisdom and understanding of how he has designed things!

Take bees for example. Think back on your childhood experience with this little fella. When it comes to bees adolescents make the following observations:

  • Bees pollinate and collect nectar.
  • Bees make honey.
  • Bees manage a hive.
  • Bees swarm.
  • Bees sting.

Spend some time today and consider how these things apply to how the Lord designed these little creatures and how his plans for them have provided us with great insight into how we can be productive and profitable.

  • Where am I going to collect good resources that will provide well for my team and help others be fruitful?
  • What is our process for making something useful and sweet for others? What is our process to use those resources to create value-added products?
  • How am I managing my workshop so that my team can “thrive in the hive”?
  • What does my team rally around knowing that it is vital to our existence?
  • What is so important that I would offer my life in exchange for it to continue?

There’s so much to learn every day. Realize that today is a day that the Lord has made, we should rejoice and be glad in it. Go outside and see what you discover. Then come back and consider it and how it can help you to create value for others. The bees do these five things every day, and it’s part of the secret sauce that will create buzz in your business!
